EHOVE Career Center: $210 Million Investment in Our Future

The EHOVE Career Center in Milan, Ohio, is undergoing a $210 million campus modernization, led by the Greenspace‑Lakeland Joint Venture. This investment is crucial for strengthening the local workforce, economy, and community connection.

The project focuses on creating opportunities for high school students and adults to gain skilled, job-ready talent needed within the region. It’s an investment in people and the local economy.

The project unifies the entire campus under one roof, including 400,000 sq. ft. of new construction, 140,000 sq. ft. of renovations, and 123,000 sq. ft. of select demolition and abatement. The result is a state-of-the-art learning environment designed to inspire students, empower educators, and strengthen community connections.

Updated program labs will support existing high school and adult education programs while creating space for new, in-demand offerings like dental hygienist, veterinary tech, bakery, and heavy machinery. Infrastructure enhancements will improve security and accessibility, fostering greater community and business engagement.

Working directly with EHOVE Career Center, and in partnership with Architectural Vision Group, Ltd., the Greenspace‑Lakeland team is delivering full preconstruction and construction management services — from detailed cost modeling and schedule control to value engineering and seamless coordination — while keeping the existing school safely operational throughout construction. This project is made possible thanks to the community’s support of the November 2024 levy.

This modernization is building more than a facility; it’s creating a future-ready campus that redefines technical education, ensuring EHOVE continues to meet the needs of local industries and prepares students for real jobs in the region.

Together, EHOVE and Greenspace‑Lakeland are building more than a facility—they’re building a future-ready campus that redefines career tech education in Ohio.

As a community partner, EHOVE is proud to provide space that can be used to support the important work happening throughout our community. Our campus is more than a place for education – it is a community resource.

On September 29, 2026, a large mobile crane was used to safely remove the existing chiller and outdoor air handler from the Health & Human Services Building as part of EHOVE’s facility project. The equipment was carefully rigged, lifted, and relocated to allow construction activities to proceed. The units will be preserved and reused later in the project, helping reduce equipment replacement costs and overall project expenses. Students in the HVAC Tech program were able to safely observe the process as another real-world example in their learning.
